Wow! Over 4,000 texts a month for teens?! I wonder if their time talking on the phone has gone down, or if they’re just adding to that. I’m sure the adolescent me would have loved texting and cell phones. Probably like most scatterplot readers, I had to share the phone with the rest of the family and that sharing imperative put some limits on my communication time that today’s teens probably don’t experience.

I am so old that the phone I had to share had a curly cord on it connecting it to a box on the wall.
