While there have been some recent updates to the wiki devoted to journal turn-around times and experiences, it’s been largely neglected of late.
I thought a plug on scatterplot might reinvigorate it. Certainly some of our readers have had good, bad, or ugly experiences with a journal or two – particularly post-summer.
In addition, perhaps it’s worth thinking in the comments about what types of contributions are most helpful.
I went there searching for turn-around time at a journal, but found that the entries where reviewers gave pointers were nice additions. I’d also love more context (like months or something, as things tend to move faster in the summer than the academic year). Also, why weren’t (or were) reviews helpful, or where did you send the paper next?

Hear hear! This has the potential to be a great resource for all of us, especially young scholars. I will redouble my contributions to this as both an author and reviewer.

Oops, reminds me that I’m overdue with a review. :-(

Thanks for the reminder. I have a few comments to add for various journals.
