  1. Ah but other scientists are less consistent about naming bugs. The relevant bit, if you don’t feel like skimming the article is: “In 2005, a beetle fancier, professor Quentin Wheeler, and his student Kelly Miller named a bunch of slime mold-eating beetles after President George W. Bush and some prominent members of his Cabinet: Agathidium bushi, A. rumsfeldi and A. cheneyi.”

    (A note that makes it less fun: Wheeler claims it was a compliment, not a slight.)
