Don’t forget that Friday, 8pm EST is the 2nd Occasional Mario Kart Wii Scatterplot Extravaganza. It will have all the pomp and circumstance of the inauguration, but without any of the metal detectors and frostbite. Our last party was really fun, and all of you (yes, even you) should feel warmly invited.

I can’t wait to join one of these parties. But, my wife and I agreed that we would not purchase Wii until I defended my dissertation (I don’t need any further distractions at this point). I’m not sure which is more motivation: finishing six years of hard work and moving on to my professional career or being able to play Mario Kart on Wii.
I am sorry to report that I know exactly no one in Nashville with a Wii. Pfft. Reason #4,506.

We’ll be there! The Harlem Globetrotters are in town and scheduled for the same night. When I asked B which he’d prefer, he decided that a Mario Kart party was the hands-down winner. Of course he also asked me if I was sure he’d have another opportunity to see the Globetrotters in his lifetime.
