I reviewed an article recently for the American Political Science Review. As part of the e-mail apprising me of the editor’s decision and the other reviews, this was attached:

That T-shirt image idea is cute.

I don’t have a POQ pen, I only have post-its. Hmm… I’m going to have to track down the editor.

Last night, with the help of a friend (who’s not a sociologit, but who is definitely a major geek), I figured out what T-shirt I should have made for my ASA presentation. But I don’t know if I have it in me to pull it off. I may just opt for a mug instead. Some Scatterbrains would get it, the majority of folks likely would not though, even on a panel having to do with info tech.

actually i think i recall getting the pen as part of a general ‘end of the year’ thank-you that went out to all reviewers. so, you may get your pen yet!

Thanks, Jay, but I was kidding as the editor-in-chief is a colleague and a friend so I don’t have to do a lot of tracking down to get a pen if I’d like.:-)
